Fitted Diapers
Why We Love Fitted Diapers
What Are Fitted Diapers?
Fitted diapers are made to fit! That’s why their other name is diaper pants. They’re really easy to put on (no need to fold them around your baby). The only manipulation a fitted diaper requires prior to putting it on your baby is choosing an absorbing insert and putting it into the fitted diaper’s pocket.
Fitted diapers are usually made of cotton terry or of another well-absorbing material. We use organic cotton for Bamboolik fitted diapers.
Fitted Diapers for Babies of Any Age
Fitted diapers come in many sizes:
- newborn fitted diapers,
- one-size fitted diapers,
- XL fitted diapers,
- night fitted diapers.
At every age of your baby, fitted diaper has slightly different benefits. Let’s talk you through them, shall we?
Newborn Fitted Diapers
Newborn stool (or, more precisely, the stool of children who don’t eat solid food yet) is very liquid. The purpose of a newborn diaper is to hold everything inside and prevent leaks. For a diaper to do that, it should fit well, cling tight to the body and around the legs. Fitted diapers have elastic hems around the legs and in the back which make the diaper fit perfectly while not being uncomfortably tight.
Disposable diapers are held together by adhesives while cloth fitted diapers are sewn. Sewing allows the cut of the diaper to be much more elaborate and fit better. Notwithstanding the fact that adhesives might contain elements irritating to sensitive baby skin.

One-Size Fitted Diapers
In disposable diapers terminology, they’re called diaper pants. Their main benefit is their reliability — no leaks whatsoever.
Our tip: When choosing a fitted diaper for your baby, pay attention to the size (especially when it comes to the width of the diaper — between the legs). Unlike newborns, older babies move much more. You never want to limit your baby in learning new moves! We’d recommend choosing a fitted diaper with a narrow fit between the legs. When putting the diaper on, make sure it sits right in the groins and doesn’t cover the thighs.
Our One-Size Fitted Diapers are made of organic cotton and fit well all babies from 3,5 to 15 kg. We’ve got two options of one-size fitted diapers: 100% cotton or with added Stay Dry layer in which your baby never feels wet.
XL Fitted Diapers
You usually don’t need to deal with leaks with older babies. The problem might be the diaper’s absorbing capacity reaching its limits. Or simply your baby growing out of the one-size diapers. XL fitted diapers are a great choice for older toddlers as their absorbing capacity is variable (you put absorbing inserts of your choice in the fitted diaper’s pocket).
The pocket of a fitted diaper brings yet another benefit — it makes the drying process quicker. Some cloth diaper brands make fitted diapers that come in one piece, with all the absorbing inserts sewn together. With such diapers, the diaper drying process goes on forever! Drying various diaper parts separately is much faster and also more practical.

Night Fitted Diapers
Fitted diapers are a popular choice for the night. Reasons for that being the same as before:
- great absorbing capacity,
- variability — you put absorbing inserts of choice in their pocket,
- perfect reliability.
Don’t be afraid to put multiple absorbing inserts in the night fitted diaper’s pocket. At night, you don’t need to be concerned about baby’s movement. Children should sleep at night, not move around.
With a night fitted diaper, you won’t need to change diapers at night. The most appreciated benefit for every parent! Have a look at our night fitted diapers and save your sleep.

Don’t Forget a Diaper Cover
Fitted diapers don’t have any waterproof layer — don’t forget to put a Diaper Cover over. As well as fitted diapers, they come in three sizes — newborn, one-size and XL.
